📣Our Legal Affairs Team has already analyzed the first sixty bylaws of doctoral student self-governments.
🔎The analysis shows that only 1 doctoral student self-government has introduced a provision in the bylaws to provide support for self-government activation of doctoral students with disabilities.
🔎 Analysis of the bylaws also confirmed that the vast majority of them had not been translated into English. Indeed, only 2 out of 60 doctoral student self-governments provided an English-language version of the bylaws.
🟧 Thus, the preliminary research confirms the existence of many barriers preventing doctoral students with disabilities and foreign doctoral students from actively participating in doctoral student self-government activities.
📧Our team will send information to doctoral students’ self-governments in January about the conclusions flowing from the analysis of the regulations.
🟧Let’s work together to improve the situation of both indicated groups of doctoral students!
