📣We would like to invite you to a free online training course entitled: Internationalization of Doctoral School Education and Language Exclusion – Major Challenges and Proposals for Change, which will be held on November 19 (Tuesday) at 18:00 via MS Teams.
🔎The development of science requires internationalization. This is a fact that has increasingly guided both legislators and the scientific community for the past dozen years. It involves the transfer not only of knowledge, but especially of people – scientists who carry out their research in other countries. The implementation of research, on the other hand, is combined with the obtaining of degrees by young researchers. The national doctoral schools have made it possible to train foreign doctoral students, and consequently, it is also possible to obtain degrees in doctoral subjects. However, the lack of Polish language skills and some cultural differences can pose additional challenges that need to be addressed. During the training, participants will learn about the specifics of education and obtaining a degree, taking into account the challenges and barriers that non-Polish speakers may face. A discussion will be held on possible directions for changes to foster the internationalization of doctoral schools for the education of those at risk of language exclusion.
