WORKSHOPS – Supporting people with disabilities in Doctoral School education and degree awarding

📣We would like to invite you to a free online training course entitled: Supporting people with disabilities in Doctoral School education and degree awarding, which will be held on November 28 (Thursday) at 18:00 via MS Teams.

🔎The high quality of doctoral school education and the desire to ensure inclusivity in the academic community are the main challenges that doctoral subjects have been facing since the beginning of doctoral schools. A group that is particularly vulnerable to exclusion in the educational process, as well as during the completion of a doctoral degree, are people with disabilities. We are talking about both candidates for doctoral schools and people already in training at these entities. However, it seems that there are still many measures to be taken to level the playing field in the education process for people with disabilities. These challenges will be discussed at the upcoming training, during which participants will learn what barriers people with disabilities face in obtaining a degree and during doctoral school education. They will also be introduced to good practices and suggestions for actions that can lead to reducing the exclusion of people with disabilities in academia.

👤We invite all persons interested in this topic to participate, primarily representatives of doctoral governments, persons studying in Doctoral Schools and pursuing dissertations in other modes, as well as students, candidates for Doctoral Schools and employees of the University.

🗓We encourage you to submit your participation through the form:
