❗Our Legal Affairs Team has already reviewed 77 bylaws of doctoral students’ self-governments.
🔎 The analyses carried out clearly show that only 1 bylaw explicitly includes legal provisions for supporting the self-government activation of doctoral students with disabilities and providing them with appropriate assistance in this regard.
👥The legal affairs team contacted representatives of 76 doctoral student self-governments in order to convey to them the conclusions of the analyses and encourage the self-governments to introduce provisions in the bylaws indicating the guarantee of specific forms of support for doctoral students with disabilities.
🤝At this stage of the project, 25 local governments declared in the survey that they wanted to introduce a provision in the bylaws of the doctoral student government regarding the provision of forms of support for doctoral students with disabilities to enable them to become active members of the doctoral student government.
💪We hope that this number will steadily increase and that each local government will ensure that doctoral students have equal rights in terms of access to local government activities.
